Another week!

I spent this past week as a worry wart, stressing about my research project and a poster that was due Friday. So, Monday and Tuesday come. I ran my slot blot for 2 sets, then waited for my results. And we decided to get the numbers for that set of data and make a poster with the preliminary data. The greater part of Tuesday was spent cramming for two exams. Wednesday I had two exams: Physics and Physiology. All went well by the grace of God and nothing else. Return to Wednesday night and I'm in the lab, getting numbers. Thursday I made my graph and showed my mentor. Mentor's response, such and such looks totally crazy. a plausible "artifact". artifact? error perhaps. artifact? I'm not even that smart. And let alone that deceptive. I can't even keep a straight face when I play poker! Nevertheless, he told me to run with another pair of cell line data. So Thursday morning before Calculus, I crunched the numbers and made a graph, worked on the poster, and ran a slot blot for another set. Calculus held another pretty surprise for me. A pretty crappy surprise, a quiz. Oh, am I doing bad on those quizzes. Fast forward through a lot of numbers and integration signs, I run to Physics lab. My last physics lab..ever? Oh I hope! After physics lab, it was off to a lab meeting. At 6:00pm, we end. After 6:00pm I start working on my poster with my "mentee". Three hours later, with much progress, I drive home and crash. And Friday, I finally turned in my poster, much, so much, by the grace of God!

Its funny how its in desperation that we see that God is there. In the middle of a clear sky we're too busy looking at the beauty of the plain sky that we forget to look at our sturdy Savior who rids us along. And when the storms blow and the whether gets tumultuous, we turn our focus onto Him. And so, I have. Eyes only on Him. Learn to rely and trust upon His Word. To praise God in everything, the good and the bad. To worship Him by my life, in working hard. Even if no one else notices the sweat on my brow, I can be assured God certainly sees. To pray in all the seasons of life and to seek Him. always.
